Are you someone who says I wish I could meditate? OR I can’t do it because my mind is busy. I know what you mean. I used to have a busy mind, always replaying what I did or what I had to do. I would replay my to do list and all the possible permutations of outcomes that may happen tomorrow. I thought I couldn’t meditate either because I had all that noise, but I stopped trying.
I started small with just 10 minutes and then I wanted more. Just let the thoughts come and then watch them go. Not giving too much energy or thought to them, allow your brain a chance to process and then clarity arrives. Give it a shot just give yourself 10 minutes of just being. If it helps you try to play calming sounds like nature or binaural beats. You don’t need to follow someone else’s idea of what a good meditation is. It is really what works for you and what helps you maintain a practice of meditation. I now take time daily for my meditation. I miss it when I don’t practice. Give yourself the gift of stillness.
